Absolutely! We have 3 cats, one is a Persian. I love her to death. She’s the most laid back, lovable and least demanding. She’s this adorable bed ornament however I would really stress to someone considering buying/adopting a Persian, they really really do require a lot of grooming. When we adopted her I couldn’t resist. I think Persians are #1.

Persian cats are truly the best breed of cats I have come across.
They are extreamly beautiful
They are peaceful
They are affectionate
Although I have found them to be a little lazy, they love to sleep a lot. They are more exposed to ear mites because of their weaker immune system. And ofcourse they requre a lot of grooming.
But nothing compares to how beautiful they are! In my opinion they are at #1 by far!

I just got my 2nd Persian cat and I am overjoyed with her sweet personality. She is a doll-baby and I love to pick her up and hug her. She’s very affectionate and I love that! My first Persian cat lived to be 17 years old. I had just gotten married and my mom would not let me take her with me. She died 2 weeks later and I still miss her a lot.

Every wish when you were a kid that you had a dog or cat that you could snuggle in bed with like a stuffed animal? A persian cat is that animal. Mine loves hopping on the bed, crawling under the covers with me, curling up, and sometime even wrapping her paws around my neck. Loves being picked up for cuddles, look forward to our evening grooming time (she runs up to me when I pull out that brush and promptly begins grooming ME in return lol), and is such a gentle little baby of a cat. They aren’t all snuggles though, she loves her playtime and will offer unlimited entertainment when the feather stick is pulled out. Even clothespins or bottle caps make good toys.
Oh, they are also good mousers as I inadvertently discovered when we had an infestation.
I’ve had two persians in my life, and I honestly think that if you don’t mind a daily brushing session (it’s easy to just do it while watching tv) and are really into a loving, needy personality, that this is the best cat for you.
They really do need a lot of affection and care though, and thus need very dedicated parents.
We also have an exotic and a mixed breed and the persian was our last and adapted very well to our other babies. She’s actually quite hardy and hasn’t minded that we’ve moved a few times and seems to take change, which most cats find difficult, in stride.

Persians are very sweet but do need a lot of grooming. If you are short on grooming time, consider an exoctic shorthair (”lazy man’s persian”. Same body shape and temperment, but not nearly as much grooming. I made the switch 15 years ago and have been happy ever since.
